Stewart Mayer, sole proprietor of Kickass Camera Company, is an accomplished cinematographer and inventor who specializes in creating stunning motion picture footage using the latest film and high definition technology.
Stewart's versatility and vast experience in filmmaking allows him to consistently produce outstanding quality films in all environments, ranging from large production sets to solo filming in the wilderness. He has extensive experience shooting in documentary, narrative, and commercial styles and is an award winning filmmaker (having won regional Emmy's for the documentaries: "Life in the Balance" and "High School: The Best and the Rest", shot for for PBS station KERA-13).
Stewart is known for his ingenuity and ability to bring creative solutions to the table and is a pioneer in technology, having shot the first film to HD documentary in the Southwest. He has developed and perfected his own motion control systems for many years and recently launched the motion control company camBLOCK, making his unique technology available to other cinematographers.
